Induction: Psychographics


What is psychographics?
Psychographics is the study of 6 things, these are personality, values, opinions, attitudes, interests, and lifestyles.

What is Mainstream?
Mainstream is current thought that is widespread. It includes all popular culture and media culture, typically disseminated by mass media. It is to be distinguished from subcultures and countercultures, and at the opposite extreme are cult followings and fringe theories.

What is an aspirer?
Someone that aims, or seeks ambitiously; be eagerly desirous, especially for something great or of high value.

What is a succeeder?
A succeeder is a person who achieves good things in life, or someone that reaches their goals.  

What is resigned?
Accepting that something you do not like will happen because you cannot change it.

What is Explorers?
EXPLORERS Energetic, search for new experiences and challenges. Brand choice reflects difference and adventure, the first to try new brands. Typically young people. SEEKS DISCOVERY.

What are strugglers?

STRUGGLERS Disorganised, typically only have mechanical and physical skills. Tend to be heavy consumers of alcohol, junk food etc. Brand choice reflects impact and sensation. SEEKS ESCAPE.

What are Reformers?

REFORMERS Socially aware, free from restrictions, make independent judgements, acceptance of complexity, anti-materialistic but unaccepting of poor taste. Known to be inquisitive and support the growth of new products. Favour brands of natural simplicity with the idea that small is beautiful. SEEKS ENLIGHTENMENT.

Silhouette  Doesn’t matter what backdrop cuz your frame is your soft-box Distance makes a difference  Can put two lights together to make a rectangle Turn the light up to 6 Move person back but it will make your frame smaller Turn light to 6 to 4 or it will be too bright. Used no reflector boards, because we did not reflect no light onto the face. The background is used with a soft box, a softbox is  a frame with a cloth covering used to diffuse the light from a flash or floodlight. The number on the softbox was 6 this means it was too bright, so the next image the softbox light got lower.  This image has reflector boards, this means that the light reflects of the boards to create a silhouette, however there isn't enough light.  At this point we told the model to turn towards the reflector boards, this would help the light reach her face so it creates the perfect silhouette effect. Mise en scene/ Black Panther.

The opening scene we are analysing is called Black Panther. The Genre is   Action , adventure  ,  science fiction  and  Fantasy  . For example the background which can be known as an  establishing  shot  is called a  CGI   , they use computer graphics to generate a believable location , for example the waterfalls aren't actually there , they implicate them in to go alongside with the genre and setting of the film . In black panther there is particularly a lot of action being shown , most camera angles are being shot from a low angle which could symbolise each character has a particular moment of power. They may feel inferior to one another . High Key Photography Studio.

Infinity Lightning- This forms High key lighting. (Very bright, not much shadow) The two lighting to light the backdrop, they need to be on the highest setting/power. Reflector board goes in front of the two lights that lights up the backdrop. When taking an image, have the model in front of the backdrop lights, and then set the model lights up.  If you get an image from google, must have a good resolution,  Macbook User: Scott MacBook Password: nikonmaster  Projection Photography Use projector to change backdrop or on model Can put the projector anywhere e.g the floor or behind the model etc. Use continues lighting If you use an image from google make sire it has a good resolution The closer the smaller the image gets.
